About Housing

A pathway to self-sufficiency is affordable, safe housing.

Affordable, safe housing is an important issue for families in the tri-county area. Housing costs have grown much faster than inflation during the past several years. Vacancy rates for rental property are in the 1% to 2% range for many communities. According to a report produced by the Greater Minnesota Housing Fund, 56% of very low-income persons (those who earn less than 30% of the state median income) pay more than 30% of their income for housing.

We invite you to discover what these programs and services can offer you, your employee or your neighbor. We believe that a safe, affordable house is an important step to self-sufficiency. We will work with you or connect you to community partners to rent, purchase or rehabilitate your home.
